Become a Friend of the Frank House
We cordially invite you to join us now in furthering what Walter Gropius described as “this noble endeavor” of powerful ideas for nurturing the body, mind and spirit of all humanity. It is a rare opportunity to be part of an effort to preserve one of the world’s great cultural treasures.
“It is almost as if, for a historian of American modernism, a vault had been opened and one could step back more than a half-century. The fullness of the designer’s intent is virtually intact. There is not such another modern house in America for which one could make such a claim.”
— Barry Bergdoll
Professor, Department of Art History and Archaeology at Columbia University and former Chief Curator, Architecture and Design, The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA)

Donate to the Alan I W Frank House Foundation
The Alan I W Frank House is where Walter Gropius, Marcel Breuer, and Robert and Cecelia Frank created the most complete Bauhaus residence in America, a total work of art that has ever since influenced how Americans live. We are excited to share that we have been hard at work with the Frank House, envisioning how future generations can experience this remarkable architectural treasure firsthand.
As we continue working to conserve this important piece of history, and develop new programs, your generosity means everything to us. The funds we raise this year bring us one step closer to sharing the Frank House with the world.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
